About Convergence Week

More than a year ago, a servant of God from Ohio drove to Princeton specifically for the purpose of proclaiming revival over the University. Since then, we have had the undeserved privilege to witness the convergence of the Spirit’s movements on campus. This is evidenced by the recent leadership changes in both spiritual and secular realms, the intensification of spiritual hunger in all campuses, the increase in student-initiated events and student-led prayer, the increase in boldness and desire to fearlessly magnify His glory, the greater unification of Christian bodies on and off campus, as well as affirming dreams, visions, and prophecies. In this period of convergence, we are simply jars of clay there to minimize our reliance on our own understanding and so, by fully surrendering, maximize the glory given to God.

In line with this vision, a group of undergraduates has received the Spirit-given desire to plan a concert during the beginning weeks of school at Princeton in the upcoming school year of 2013-2014. Similar concerts have been started within the past years on other campuses, such as USC, Cornell, and Dartmouth. The organizers and leaders of these concerts (and YWAM Harrisburg) are excited to partner with us to make this happen. At first, we were afraid that our plans were not aligned with His timing, but after a month of prayerful contemplation, we believe now that we are in a time of acceleration and that He is with us on this. The verse that spoke through our fears was "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).
